Mr. Archie Royce Cash of Braselton died Sunday April 4, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Cash was the son of the late Homer and Carrie Cooper Cash. He was the owner and operator of the Nickel Back Shoe Store in Gainesville for over 35 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Chicopee Baptist Church.
Mr. Cash was a very loving and caring person to all he came in contact with and will be missed very much.
Survivors include his wife, Willeen Cash, Braselton; step-son and wife, Philip and Sharon Strickland, Alto; step-daughter, Sharon Chambers, Commerce; grandchildren, Greg Abernathy, Cornelia, Jeremy and Kim Abernathy, Homer, Seth Strickland, Gainesville, Zach Strickland, Montreal, Canada, Jackson Strickland, Alto, Cole Strickland, Alto; great-grandchild, Wyatt Abernathy, Homer and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Cash is preceded in death by his first wife, Bea Cash and precious daughter, Rebecca Cash; sisters, Eva Waldrep, Claudie Cash and Annie Mooney; brothers, Fred Cash, Byron Cash and Booker Cash.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Phil Carpenter and Rev. Darin Vogt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 4, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and again from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
